Heavy Building Materials Specialist

As a Heavy Building Materials Professional, you will oversee the purchasing, stock management, and coordination of heavy building materials.
Responsibilities
- Purchasing and managing stock levels to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Liaising with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and ensuring accurate delivery.
- Conducting regular inventory checks and managing discrepancies.
- Collaborating with the accounts team to process invoices correctly.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for customers via phone and email.
- Processing customer orders for timely fulfillment and accurate documentation.
- Preparing quotations and sales proposals for customers.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the heavy building materials or construction industry.
- Strong understanding of inventory management and stock control.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience working in the building materials or construction supply industry.
About this Role
This is a permanent contract position requiring the successful candidate to work every 2nd Saturday (8am-1pm).
The Heavy Building Materials Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the procurement, stock management, and coordination of heavy building materials. This involves handling customer inquiries, managing sales representative relations, processing quotations and orders, and possibly managing a small ledger of accounts.
