Heavy Building Materials Leader

This is an exciting opportunity to excel in a leadership role as a Heavy Building Material Supervisor. The successful candidate will have the chance to drive growth and success within a well-established building provider based in the south side of Cork.
The position is on a permanent contract, requiring regular working hours including every second Saturday.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the procurement and stock management of heavy building materials ensuring timely delivery and optimal stock levels.
- Maintain effective inventory control, monitoring usage and reordering materials as necessary.
- Liaise with suppliers to negotiate competitive pricing and ensure smooth vendor relationships.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and manage discrepancies effectively.
- Coordinate payment processing and ensure accurate invoicing.
- Serve as primary point of contact for customers via phone and email providing excellent communication skills.
- Process customer orders efficiently and accurately documenting all transactions.
- Proven experience in supervisory or management roles within heavy building materials or construction industries.
- Strong understanding of inventory management and stock control principles.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills are essential for this role.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the building materials or construction supply industry is required.
