Job Title: Financial Administrator

">Job Description

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the Centre's finances and supporting its administrative needs. This varied and rewarding position combines structure and detail with people-focused community work.

">Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate financial records in line with established policies and procedures.
  • Process payroll, PRSI, PAYE, and ROS submissions in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Manage banking, donations, receipts, and lodgements, ensuring seamless financial transactions.
  • Oversee invoices, payments, and online banking, maintaining a high level of financial acumen.
  • Consult with auditors/accountants and prepare comprehensive reports (monthly, quarterly, annually) to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare budgets and reconcile spending against budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility.
  • Maintain robust financial governance, proof of expenditure, and asset records, guaranteeing transparency and accountability.
  • Support grant applications and funding reports, fostering collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
General Administration
  • Ensure the office is well-organised, stocked, and running efficiently, promoting a productive work environment.
  • Oversee general maintenance and coordinate newsletters, enhancing the Centre's reputation and visibility.
  • Maintain accessible records and manage correspondence, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Support staff with administrative tasks, social media, and event planning, contributing to a positive and inclusive team culture.
Team & Community Support
  • Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment, promoting diversity and respect among colleagues and clients.
  • Participate in team meetings, planning, and training, staying up-to-date with best practices and industry developments.
  • Handle queries, respond to emails, and provide relevant information, delivering prompt and courteous service.
  • Maintain confidentiality as a safe working environment, respecting the Centre's values and principles.

We are seeking an experienced Financial Administrator who will make a significant contribution to both managing our finances and supporting the wider administrative needs of the Centre. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, diligence, and time management, proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
