Cloud Operations Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Operations Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation and operations, with a focus on delivering high-availability AWS services.

The successful candidate will design and implement systemic solutions that reduce operational complexity and cost across AWS regions. They will create scalable automation systems that eliminate operational toil and standardize workflows.

About the Role:
  • Design and implement systemic solutions to reduce operational complexity and cost across AWS regions.
  • Create scalable automation systems to eliminate operational toil and standardize workflows.
  • Lead teams in executing organizational and team roadmaps, focusing on automation goals.
  • Analyse systems and software performance, identifying areas for improvement and shape strategies to enhance overall efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of Software Development or Systems experience, including hands-on development work and object-oriented design.
  • Systems engineering experience (e.g., virtualization, hardware design, operating system tuning), experience building scalable infrastructure software or distributed systems.
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Strong engineering fundamentals (networking, network services, operating systems).
  • Leading development life cycle processes and best practices, especially in the areas of deployment automation and monitoring.
