Job Opportunity: Architectural Technologist in Tralee, County Kerry


We are currently seeking a skilled Architectural Technologist to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with architects, designers, and engineers to design architecture for construction projects. Your responsibilities will include examining building codes, by-laws, space requirements, site requirements, and other technical documents, ensuring compliance with building regulations and legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and advise on environmental, legal, and regulatory issues related to construction projects.
  • Contribute to planning applications and regulatory procedures, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Identify necessary surveys (e.g., land surveys) before work begins, guaranteeing their completion and integration into the project.
  • Develop and update project briefs throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring accurate documentation and clear communication.
  • Prepare and present design proposals using computer-aided design (CAD), showcasing your technical expertise.
  • Conduct design-stage risk assessments, mitigating potential risks and ensuring project success.
  • Administer contracts and oversee project certification, maintaining high standards of quality and professionalism.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Relevant technical qualification, such as a degree in Architecture or a related field.
  • Ability to produce high-quality technical drawings, utilizing CAD software.
  • Proficiency in Archicad is essential, with knowledge of Sketchup and Photoshop being desirable.
  • Hand-drawing/sketching skills are advantageous, demonstrating creativity and attention to detail.
