Workday HRIS Technical Lead Role Overview

The Workday HRIS Technical Lead will be responsible for:

  • Designing and delivering complex Workday solutions with a particular focus on integrations and systems architecture.
  • Facilitating client-facing design workshops and solution scoping sessions as a trusted technical advisor.
  • Mentoring and managing small teams on project workstreams, providing guidance that ensures delivery milestones are met to the highest standards of quality.
  • Coordinating internal resources effectively, prioritising tasks and maintaining alignment among stakeholders across several EMEA clients simultaneously.
  • Supporting business development activities by shaping proposals, engaging new clients, and contributing positively to the organisation's reputation as a leading Workday partner.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Extensive hands-on experience delivering Workday integrations as well as broader Workday HRIS solutions within large-scale environments.
  • Proven ability to lead client workshops, manage complex projects from inception through completion, and mentor project teams in collaborative settings.
  • Comfortable working directly with clients at all levels—including senior stakeholders—and adept at navigating fast-paced environments focused on delivering effective solutions.
  • Flexibility to be based anywhere in Ireland with willingness to travel occasionally to Dublin city centre offices as required for key meetings or workshops.
  • Previous consulting experience is highly desirable; commercial awareness will enable you to engage confidently with senior clients on strategic matters.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including empathy, active listening, clear communication, and the ability to build trust-based relationships within diverse teams.
  • Strong organisational skills enabling you to coordinate resources efficiently across multiple concurrent projects without compromising quality or timelines.
