Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to lead our production team in Galway, Ireland.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing day-to-day production control, staff management, and ensuring orders are processed efficiently and accurately. They will also be responsible for supervising shop floor personnel, monitoring time-keeping, productivity, and absence, as well as implementing safety, health, environment, and quality requirements across the department.

Additionally, the Production Manager will leverage Lean initiatives to improve safety, quality, and customer indicators, reduce waste, improve processes, and labor efficiencies, and reduce direct operating expenses. They will determine appropriate staff levels, schedules, and resources, establish cross-functional team relationships, and work cross-functionally in identifying and resolving technical issues.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with either ISO13485 or AS9100 and a minimum of 3 years of management experience. They will be able to establish clear accountabilities for direct reports and staff, motivate and develop through understanding, personal development, and lifelong learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day production control and staff management.
  • Supervise shop floor personnel and monitor time-keeping, productivity, and absence.
  • Implement safety, health, environment, and quality requirements.
  • Leverage Lean initiatives to improve safety, quality, and customer indicators.
  • Determine appropriate staff levels, schedules, and resources.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience working with either ISO13485 or AS9100.
  • Minimum 3 years of management experience.
