Performance Test Manager Job Description

This role involves leading performance/non-functional projects, overseeing the testing effort and being accountable for all performance/non-functional test-related activities on a project.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality projects on time.
  • Review and contribute to project scope, performance/NFR projects, test design, estimates, and closure artefacts.
  • Manage and coordinate actions on the test domain with support from the Lead Architect.
  • Create and deliver plans, strategies, and performance/NFT processes, criteria, templates, tools, and standards.
  • Provide escalation support and quality assurance throughout the project.
  • Review, lead, and coordinate pre-requisites, dependencies, estimates, test design, execution, and reporting.
  • Collaboratively manage service partners and vendors to deliver high-quality projects on time.
  • Provide key stakeholder management with an objective view in a multi-vendor, multi-test discipline environment.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Additional course or certification in Quality Engineering or IT Management.
  • ISTQB Advanced Test Manager preferred.

  • Excellent communication skills, maintaining confidentiality, sharing ideas and information, facilitating discussions, and transferring knowledge to diverse audiences to achieve collective objectives.
  • Trusted advisor status at a senior level with clients.
  • Excellent client-facing skills, taking time to establish underlying needs of clients beyond those initially expressed.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have strong technical skills and excellent interpersonal skills. You should be able to demonstrate your ability to lead complex projects and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
