Mental Health Advocate

Delivering exceptional levels of resident care is a critical aspect of the Mental Health Support Worker role.
The successful candidate will work as part of a team to deliver comprehensive and understandable care plans, ensuring that residents receive the highest level of support and care.
About The Role- Supporting and encouraging residents with their medication, promoting independence and well-being
- Maintaining accurate documentation, both manually and electronically
- Ensuring house rules are kept and adhered to, providing a safe environment for all residents
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing mental health support and encouragement to residents
- Assisting residents with daily tasks, such as self-care, shopping, and household tasks
- Communicating effectively with colleagues, residents, and visitors
- Booking and attending appointments on behalf of residents
Requirements:
- Understanding of current approaches to mental health practice
- Awareness of local services available to those with mental health needs
- Caring, empathetic and compassionate nature
Desirable Criteria:
- Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
- Experience working within a Care Home setting or environment
