Project Development Lead

We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager to spearhead the design and delivery of key projects across multiple sites within the agri-food sector.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Process, or related) with strong Project Management credentials and at least 10 years' experience, including 4+ years in project management within food, agriculture, engineering, or construction.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget, excellent communication skills to work at senior leadership and board level, and be comfortable managing diverse teams, multiple stakeholders, and competing priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading the design and delivery of major development and capital projects.
  • Preparing business cases and CAPEX proposals from concept through to approval.
  • Planning projects from start to finish: budgets, timelines, resources, and KPIs.
  • Coordinating teams, contractors, and consultants to deliver on time and within budget.
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders and ensuring project outcomes meet expectations.
  • Overseeing multiple projects at once, ensuring safety, compliance, and quality standards are met.
  • Driving improvements in project management processes and mentoring managers in best practices.
  • Creating clear reporting tools and dashboards to keep leadership up to speed on progress.
  • Supporting wider business growth by identifying opportunities for efficiency and innovation.

  • Strong communicator who can work at senior leadership and board level.
  • Comfortable managing diverse teams, multiple stakeholders, and competing priorities.
  • Skilled in project management software and confident working with data and KPIs.
  • Problem solver, proactive, and able to adapt to changing demands.
