Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced leader to oversee the daily operations of our services for individuals with intellectual disabilities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to motivate and support staff members to deliver high-quality care.

This is a full-time position based in Ballyagran, Limerick, and the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring service users' needs are met, teaching daily living and social skills, establishing positive relationships, and maintaining accurate records.

This role offers a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities and to work as part of a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of services for individuals with intellectual disabilities
  • Ensure service users' needs are being met
  • Teach service users necessary daily living and social skills through daily activities
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with service users
  • Maintain accurate records of service user documentation
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Applied Social Studies/Social Care or relevant qualification
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working with adults/children with intellectual disabilities
  • Proven managerial skills with a minimum of three years' experience at a management level
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and supervise staff members in a residential setting
  • Experience of managing budgets
  • Experience in managing behaviours that challenge
  • Good organisation and communication skills
  • Full manual driving license
