Communications Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled Communications Coordinator to join our team in the public sector.

This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and passionate individual to play a key role in promoting important initiatives, driving digital campaigns, supporting stakeholder engagement, and delivering impactful content across various channels.

About the Role:

  • Support the implementation of our Communications Strategy by creating and scheduling engaging content across social media platforms
  • Assist in planning and coordinating stakeholder and public events that showcase our organisation's commitment to public service
  • Monitor and update website content to ensure accessibility and relevance for all users
  • Help manage shared mailboxes and internal communications to maintain a smooth workflow
  • Uphold brand and accessibility standards across all communication channels to build trust with our audience
  • Develop and implement digital marketing strategies that drive results and achieve organisational goals
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve organisational objectives and contribute to a positive and productive work environment

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 6+ months' experience in a communications, marketing, or digital content role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders and audiences
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Canva to create visually appealing content
  • Strong organisational and time management skills to meet deadlines and priorities
  • A proactive and team-oriented approach to deliver results and support colleagues
  • Creativity and attention to detail to produce high-quality content and assets
  • A keen interest in public sector communications to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices
  • A third-level qualification in communications or a related field to demonstrate expertise and knowledge
  • Experience with Adobe tools (Photoshop, InDesign) to enhance visual content and branding
  • Knowledge of digital marketing best practices to develop effective campaigns and strategies
