Activities Coordinator Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Activities Coordinator to join our team and deliver a high-quality service to nursing home residents.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with the elderly, excellent interpersonal skills, and a creative mindset for planning diverse activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate engaging activities, including social outings, crafts, games, and fitness programs.
  • Coordinate special events and celebrations for holidays, birthdays, and other milestones.
  • Promote resident participation in activities and encourage social interactions.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all residents during activities.
  • Communicate effectively with nursing staff, caregivers, and family members about residents' participation and progress in activities.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
