Job Title: Junior Engineer

We are seeking an ambitious and skilled Junior Engineer to join our team. As a Junior Engineer, you will be responsible for setting out and checking works on a residential project in Cork, Ireland.

  • Setting out and checking works as required for the project.
  • Liaising with sub-contractors and personnel on site in the planning and construction of the project.
  • Supporting the Project Manager/Contracts Manager & Senior Engineer to ensure works are completed as per programme and to a high standard.
  • Maintaining excellent relationships with the construction management team, subcontractors and site personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure all tasks are completed in line with project drawings specifications and building regulations.
  2. Work collaboratively with the project team to achieve project goals.
  3. Develop and implement effective solutions to resolve any issues that may arise during the project.
  4. Provide input into the development of project plans and schedules.

Requirements:
  • A Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 1 year's placement experience in an engineering role.
  • Ability to use setting out instruments is essential and being competent in all aspects of set out, survey & level, temporary works co-ordination.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Thorough knowledge of computer and database applications such as Microsoft Office and Project/PowerPoint.
