Technical Customer Advocate

We are seeking an experienced Trust and Safety Professional to join our team at the Amazon Development Centre Ireland Limited - D94. As a key member of our Trust and Safety Digital Messaging Team, you will work closely with our service teams, account managers, and customers to ensure the integrity and security of our cloud infrastructure. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
About the Team
Our Trust and Safety Digital Messaging Team focuses on scenarios where AWS hosted resources negatively impact third parties on the Internet, as well as eliminating a wide range of online risks for AWS services such as Simple Email Service (SES), Simple Notification Service (SNS), Workmail. The team is responsible for maintaining the reputation of AWS's IP Space and email deliverability, vetting potential abuse issues, and contacting AWS customers to put a stop to harmful acts. As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the security and integrity of our cloud infrastructure.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert-level support to customers on trust and safety-related issues
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify and address potential security vulnerabilities
- Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of AWS services and their applications
- Act as a subject matter expert, taking ownership of escalated customer issues and driving resolution
- Communicate effectively with customers, both verbally and in writing, to provide clear explanations and solutions
- Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a trust and safety or similar environment, working with issues related to online abuse
- Strong technical knowledge and understanding of internet security concepts and vulnerabilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively
- Familiarity with email servers/services, SQL, and/or another relational database experience
