Senior Accounting Professional Sought

We are seeking an experienced senior accounting professional to lead our statutory accounting team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Statutory Reporting: Oversee the preparation and review of statutory financial statements across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with local GAAPs.
  • Partner with Auditors and Stakeholders: Collaborate with external auditors, local advisors, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely audits and filings.
  • Maintain Statutory Calendar: Develop and maintain a statutory reporting calendar to ensure compliance is executed in line with filing deadlines in all relevant jurisdictions.
  • Coordinate with Finance Teams: Coordinate closely with global shared service centres, local finance teams, and external advisors to deliver high-quality financials.
  • Monitor Regulatory Changes: Monitor changes in local GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant standards (e.g., tax, ESG, sustainability reporting) and assess their impact on statutory reporting.
  • Provide Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance on complex accounting areas (e.g., lease accounting, revenue recognition, impairment, equity transactions, etc.) as they relate to statutory accounts.
  • Develop Standardized Processes: Lead initiatives to standardize, automate, and optimize statutory reporting processes.
  • Support Global Compliance: Partner with Tax, Treasury, Legal, and Compliance teams to support global compliance initiatives.
Requirements
  • Experienced ACA, ACCA, CPA: Experienced high-performing ACA, ACCA, CPA with minimum 8 years post qualification experience.
  • Deep Expertise in Statutory Accounting: Deep expertise in statutory accounting across multiple jurisdictions, with strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and local GAAPs.
  • Proven Experience in Audit and Filings: Proven experience in managing audits, statutory filings, and technical accounting matters.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Flexibility and Multi-Tasking: Flexibility and ability to manage multiple deliverables.
  • Ability to Develop Cross-Functional Relationships: Proven ability to develop cross-functional relationships.
  • Identify Areas for Improvement: An ability to identify areas for improvement and implement best in class practices.
  • Work in Fast-Paced Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed environment and manage multiple priorities.
