Education and Outreach Officer

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as an Education and Outreach Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering educational programs to secondary schools, promoting equality and diversity in STEM.

About the Role:
  • This is a maternity cover position, offering a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on education and outreach initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a passion for promoting equality and diversity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver educational programs to secondary schools, focusing on STEM and equality.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement workshops, training sessions, and knowledge exchange events.
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform program development and evaluate their effectiveness.
  • Provide advice and guidance on EDI issues, ensuring that our programs are inclusive and accessible to all.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as education or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in education or a related field.
  • Excellent project management skills, with experience of working on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with equality, diversity, and inclusion principles and practices.

Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to education, equality, and diversity, as well as a passion for promoting positive change.
