Senior Trade Operations Analyst

Job Overview:

This critical role at Fidelity Investments focuses on ensuring timely and accurate trade confirmation and settlement processes. The Senior Trade Operations Analyst plays a vital part in maintaining the integrity of trade operations by verifying the accuracy and timeliness of trade confirmations and settlements for FX and equity activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify the accuracy and timeliness of trade confirmations and settlements for FX and equity activities.
  • Monitor transactional confirmations, fails resolution, escrow activity, and settlements to minimize operational risk.
  • Communicate issues and take proactive steps to resolve problems with internal teams, brokers, custodian banks, and other business partners.
  • Identify and analyze complex issues or potential operational risks, escalating high-risk items and developing action plans to mitigate daily operational issues.
  • Participate as a Subject Matter Expert on projects and collaborate with internal teams to identify process improvements.
  • Work effectively within a team environment to manage daily work volumes and maintain quality standards.
  • Deliver effective written and verbal communication to relevant business partners.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial services, preferably with exposure to Custody Operations and/or Trade/Fixed Income Life Cycle management.
  • 2 years of experience in Trade Life Cycle, Settlements, or Fails, with FX experience being an advantage.
  • Proficiency in software applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with working knowledge of agile methodologies.
  • Strong time management, attention to detail, and data analytical skills.
