Job Overview

This is a Cyber Security Specialist role with our organization in Dublin 1. The job involves supporting the security team in day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle security-related Service Now tickets from start to finish, including investigation and resolution.
  • Process vendor remote access requests, prepare them for security review, and support the access setup steps.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of security awareness training, including assisting in the planning and analysis of phishing test campaigns.
  • Write and maintain knowledge base articles on security topics to support internal awareness and documentation.
  • Oversee and support the management of third-party patching processes to ensure timely and secure updates.
  • Participate in incident response activities, including investigation and documentation.
  • Help identify and remediate vulnerabilities across systems and applications.
  • Stay informed on emerging security trends and recommend improvements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in security management, cybersecurity, or a related field along with a foundational security certification such as Comp TIA Security+ or equivalent.
  • Internship or academic project experience in a security-related role, along with a basic understanding of compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR), phishing, vulnerability management, and incident response.
  • Knowledge of information security principles including a strong understanding of controls that support confidentiality, integrity, and availability requirements.
  • Critical thinking and strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to investigate and understand issues and implications.
