">Key Responsibilities

The Operations Control Duty Manager plays a crucial role in managing the administrative aspects of aircraft operations.

This includes supervising the operations control administration, including crew management, flight coordination, and safe tactical management of ground operations.

  • Support, brief, and assist commanders in dispatching aircraft.
  • Coordinate daily aircraft allocation and scheduling with relevant parties.
  • Optimize resource utilization to maintain punctuality while minimizing costs;
  • Supervise the Operations Control Centre on shift, ensuring coverage of all operations control aspects.
  • Review operations and make informed decisions regarding schedule disruptions, on-time performance, and customer care.
  • Liaise with other departments and senior management to provide and gather up-to-date information on daily operations.
  • Ensure Ops Control procedures comply with mandatory regulations.
  • Review internal systems and procedures, introducing initiatives as needed.
  • Monitor entry and accuracy of operational data input into the operations management system.
  • Produce regular reports as directed by the Director of Operations.
  • Manage disruptions to the flight schedule in conjunction with handling agents and other departments.
  • Coordinate flight planning issues with local ATC centres and Eurocontrol.
  • Coordinate with ground handling regarding radio calls from aircraft passing estimated arrival times and parking stand allocations.
  • Ensure accurate entry of flight tracking data into the Ops system.
  • Liaise with Ops Crew Control regarding delays, cancellations, and aircraft changes affecting pilots and cabin crew.
  • Ensure correct crew complements for flights and timely notifications of roster changes, amendments, and notifications.
  • Maintain accurate records, flight documents, and data as required.
