Job Title: Social Care Leader

This is a full-time, permanent leadership role for a passionate and experienced professional to lead a brand-new residential service for adults with intellectual disabilities.

About the Service

The new residential setting is part of a wider national network focused on inclusion, social justice, and person-centred care. The service will offer a blend of residential life-sharing, day programmes, and tailored support for adults with varying needs, all within a supportive community environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations and long-term service development
  • Maintain HIQA compliance and strong safeguarding procedures
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team and ensure delivery of high-quality residential and day services
  • Supervise and support team leads and frontline staff
  • Regularly report to senior management and collaborate closely to deliver best-in-class care and support
  • Ensure efficient and effective resource use and liaison with external partners

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in managing similar services and teams
  • Strong understanding of HIQA regulations and safeguarding procedures
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
