Senior Manufacturing Engineer Job Description

At our organization, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead the development and implementation of new manufacturing processes and procedures. This key role will play a vital part in driving efficiency and quality within our engineering department.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of developing and improving processes, with expertise in manufacturing engineering and project management skills. Strong mechanical aptitude and effective communication and leadership skills are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement new manufacturing processes and procedures to enhance productivity and quality
  • Collaborate closely with manufacturing, quality, and R&D teams to ensure seamless execution of projects
  • Provide guidance and training to junior engineers on best practices and equipment utilization
  • Design and plan layouts for manufacturing activities, including plastics processing, assembly, and equipment implementation
  • Assist in designing and arranging machines within plant facilities for optimal productivity
Requirements:
  • MSc or higher in an Engineering discipline with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience
  • Manufacturing engineering experience in a medical device industry, with a proven track record of developing and improving processes
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and techniques for maximizing effective manufacture and distribution
  • Project management skills, with ability to assess project issues and develop solutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, with ability to design and use machines and tools
  • Effective communication and leadership skills
