Senior Accountant Role Overview

The successful candidate will lead the day-to-day operations of the Finance Function, focusing on adding commercial value and driving financial growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver financial and management accounting controls, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Assist with analysis and understanding of financial reports in relation to key performance indicators.
  • Review products and margins, influencing commercial decisions on pricing and product range.
  • Manage stock recording systems to ensure accurate reflections of stock on hand.
  • Tighten financial control over the company, including preparation of annual budgets and cash flow forecasts.
  • Cash management controls over actual and projected cash flows.
  • Ensure tax compliance and returns are up to date.
  • Liaise with external financial advisers on finance issues.
  • Sign off year-end audits.
  • Continuously review and manage overheads.
  • Manage the finance team effectively.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, strong analytical abilities, and a deep understanding of financial concepts and regulations. They will be responsible for developing and implementing effective financial strategies, managing the finance team, and ensuring the overall financial health of the organization.

Requirements:
  • A degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Professional certification in accounting (e.g., CPA, CMA).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in senior accounting roles.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems.
