Job Overview

This role involves managing design coordination and services for internal and external clients on a wide range of transport schemes. You will oversee projects across the UK and Ireland, working closely with key infrastructure clients such as National Highways, Network Rail, and Transport Infrastructure Ireland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the whole design process, including interface, coordination, and direction of Discipline Leads in terms of methodology and technical solutions.
  • Ensure each design team fully understands scope, deliverables, interfaces, and related dependencies per stage between discipline.
  • Hold full knowledge of contracted scope of work and deliverables per stage and per discipline.
  • Monitor design process progress, implement changes/variations to the design in collaboration with Change and Project Manager.
Requirements
  • Minimum HNC/HND in a Building/Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • Preferably a chartered member of an appropriate construction-focused association or institute (e.g ICE).
  • Experience in a design management role in the construction industry, preferably within a multidisciplinary engineering design consultancy.
