Future Business Trends Analyst

We are seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Future Business Trends Analyst. This role will be part of our Enterprise Strategy team, responsible for developing a capability to systematically explore and understand future trends that will impact the construction industry.
The successful candidate will have a strong interest in current and future business trends, excellent research and analysis skills, and the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
Key Responsibilities- Analyse and monitor stock market, industry financial performance and company valuations
- Analyse and monitor macroeconomic, technological, and social news and trends
- Develop internal white papers and presentations at regular intervals to keep leadership abreast of unique key external trends and opportunities, and support debate
- Conduct analyses of markets, trends, industry data, regulatory environment and competitors
- Identify and understand implications of construction trends and competitive dynamics to articulate potential scenarios
- Quantitatively assess the implications of findings, including financial analysis where relevant
- Continually refresh perspectives on external trends and changes to the construction value chain
- Help drive and manage internal strategic projects and support M&A decision making processes
- Develop automated ways to gather and filter news and data and prepare periodic updates and reports on key findings to the Group Leadership team
- Third level degree, post graduate qualification or equivalent in Business, Finance, Engineering, Science or Economics
- Circa 2-6 years' experience working in a relevant role
- Consulting, business/finance analyst, equity analyst experience and/or ACAs, CFAs, MBA an advantage
- Good systems capabilities and/or interest in technology
- Very high proficiency in using Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint
- Experience working in other countries/cultures is a bonus
