Job Title: Clinical Skills Facilitator (Paediatrics)

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Clinical Skills Facilitator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and have a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Support the principle that patient care comes first by working with flexibility and enthusiasm to make this a reality.
  • Maintain awareness of the primacy of the patient in relation to all hospital activities.
  • Participate in performance management systems and contribute to the Group's performance management programme.
Clinical Leadership:
  • Advise, encourage, support, and facilitate nursing staffs' learning through various means.
  • Maintain high professional and clinical leadership and conduct duties in accordance with national and local policies.
  • Maintain professional standards in relation to confidentiality, ethics, and legislation.
  • Lead and participate in quality initiatives and the development of children's nursing services.
Education and Training:
  • Identify education and learning needs of nursing and healthcare assistant staff who care for children and introduce measures to address these requirements.
  • Facilitate development of nursing and healthcare assistant staff clinical skills in Paediatric Nursing.
  • Supervise and contribute to competency attainment for qualified children's and general nursing staff in their development or expansion of roles.
Management:
  • Provide professional and clinical leadership, demonstrating values of compassion, care, and commitment, and conduct duties in accordance with relevant policies.
  • Provide vision and facilitate staff team building to provide planned care and develop educational strategies and service goals.
  • Comply with all relevant professional and statutory requirements, including NMBI Guidelines and HIQA Standards.
