As a highly skilled Automation System Developer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing automation-based systems and solutions that meet the needs of our biopharmaceutical manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation infrastructure engineering, with expertise in Rockwell factory talk systems (DCS), thin manager, asset centre, as well as experience with protocols such as OPC, UPC-UA, MQTT, TCP/IP, HTTP.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing, configuring, and qualifying automation-based systems and solutions to ensure flexibility, innovation, cost-effectiveness, compliance, and quality-focused manufacturing
  • Ensuring appropriate monitoring, alerting, and response to network, system, and application issues affecting functionality and availability
  • Providing automation technical knowledge and support for troubleshooting, investigations, installations, and training
  • Developing and maintaining automation system design for data integrity, stability, and integration between different systems
  • Facilitating the smooth transition of projects from development into production environment
  • Overseeing migration of data from legacy systems to new applications
  • Serving as a subject matter expert and technical go-to for historian and data integration solutions
  • Maintaining compliance and optimizing automation systems
  • Creating, modifying, and maintaining automation systems and documentation, including automation specification documents and standard operating procedures

The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline and have at least 3+ years of relevant experience, or 5+ years of experience for senior positions. They must also have knowledge of analytics and data insights, as well as innovative, customer-focused, and results-driven skills. Additionally, they should be able to operate effectively as part of a team in a highly interdependent environment and possess organizational skills and project management skills.
