Chief Executive Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced executive to lead our strategic direction and oversee daily operations.
- Strategic Planning and Implementation: Develop and execute business strategies, setting goals and ensuring alignment with the company's mission and vision.
- Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day operations, manage resources (including key personnel and assets) to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Financial Performance: Monitor financial performance to profit and loss level, review management accounts, and confirm weekly employee hours for the payroll department.
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate teams, provide guidance and support to direct reports, and foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including board members, clients, and partners.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks to the organisation, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguard the company's reputation, and oversee facility and equipment upkeep and maintenance.
- Innovation and Growth: Identify opportunities for growth and innovation, stay abreast of market trends, and drive the company's competitive advantage.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Track progress against goals, analyse performance data, and report to the board of directors or other relevant stakeholders.
- A proven track record in transport or logistics operations, preferably in a small to medium-sized enterprise environment.
- Experience managing budgets, forecasting, cash flow, and delivering sustainable margins.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to make timely, data-driven decisions under pressure.
- A flexible and responsive individual who can take ownership of the role.
