Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Graphics Researcher & Developer to join our team at the Huawei Ireland Research Centre. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in researching and co-developing new, scalable and novel solutions to improve performance of mobile games and mobile GPU rendering algorithms on Harmony OS.

  • The successful applicant will be responsible for researching, prototyping and developing product-ready mobile graphics algorithms for existing performance issues identified in games, as well as proposing new developments identified from current trends.
  • Key responsibilities include designing, implementing, analysing and deploying computer graphics algorithms for mobile games, enhancing performance and battery life of Huawei products.
  • Another key aspect of the role is identifying key developments and trends in mobile computer graphics research from SIGGRAPH, Eurographics, EGSR, JCGT, i3D and others, and proposing new solutions to advance to current state-of-the-art.
  • The selected candidate will also propose solutions to challenges faced by technical artists in production and drive novel improvements.
  • Finally, they will devise a technical implementation plan based on these proposals and ensure that it is successfully implemented and converted into production.
