Senior Sales and Business Development Manager

We are seeking a skilled Sales and Business Development professional to lead all business development activities for our properties in Galway. This proactive position requires experience within the Irish hotel industry.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales and business strategy for the team.
- Build and execute the brand and sales strategy for our property.
- Analyze market feasibility and identify new opportunities for growth.
- Provide leadership on selling techniques, monitor team results, and ensure objectives are met.
- Collaborate with Senior Management to maximize revenue opportunities through effective hotel bookings and availability management.
- Stay up-to-date with local market conditions and participate in Revenue meetings as required.
- Prepare accurate forecasts and budgets for the department.
- Develop and implement strategic goals and objectives for the department.
- Nurture key accounts and sell hotel services such as rooms, conferences, food, and beverages.
- Monitor account production and develop strategies to achieve quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Maintain accurate sales reports and data generated from the Sales & Marketing team.
- Enhance service and teamwork by offering input and suggestions.
- Develop sales training programs for all departments in the hotel.
- Ensure a consistent sales approach across all employees aligned with the hotel sales strategy.
- Oversee public marketing activities of the hotel.
- Develop an advertising strategy within budget.
- Manage and produce marketing materials.
- Design a social media strategy to support marketing and sales efforts.
- Proven experience in sales and business development within the Irish hotel industry.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze market trends and identify new opportunities.
- Excellent problem-solving and strategic planning skills.
- Results-driven and goal-oriented individual.
