Catering Assistant Job

This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Assisting in the preparation and service of meals to residents
  2. General day-to-day cleaning of the kitchen
  3. Helping chefs with daily tasks, such as setting up dining rooms for breakfast, lunch, and tea
  4. Preparation of meal trays for room service
  5. Deep cleaning procedure weekly
  6. Advising residents on menu choices while considering dietary requirements, allergens, and medical advice
  7. Cleaning all crockery and cutlery

The successful candidate will work as part of the kitchen team and follow instructions from management, adhering to strict Hygiene, Health and Safety, and COSHH regulations at all times.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least two years of experience working in a Hospital/Nursing home setting or a high-volume catering background
  • Excellent English language skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to adapt to working in new healthcare environments
  • Minimum two working references
  • Valid work permits to work full-time in Ireland with no restrictions
  • Flexibility with working hours
