Job Title:

Staff Nurse

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain professional and ethical standards, ensuring high resident care.
  • Adhere to NMBI guidelines on medication administration and the 'Misuse of Drugs Act'.
  • Work collaboratively within a team, respecting each member's contribution.
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with staff at all levels.
  • Ensure confidentiality of all information obtained during work.
  • Deliver induction training to new nursing and care staff.
  • Provide individualised assessments and person-centred care plans for residents, updating as needed.
  • Deliver holistic nursing care tailored to residents' needs.
  • Develop good relationships with residents and families, communicating effectively and keeping them informed.
  • Supervise and allocate duties to care assistants.
Requirements:
  • Hold a valid NMBI decision letter.
  • Hold a valid NMBI PIN.
  • Excellent communication skills & fluent English.
  • Good knowledge of HIQA standards.
  • Experience working with the elderly.
