Job Role Overview

The role of a Photographic Officer involves creating high-quality visual content for various purposes, including heritage asset documentation and digital management.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Produce photographs and digital images that meet the required standards
  • Support specialized survey techniques, such as measured photographic surveys and photogrammetric surveys
  • Manage daily tasks related to the HERo NI Photographic Record, encompassing both digital and traditional stock
  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of NICS DAMs (Digital Asset Management Database)
  • Produce video content for conservation recording purposes and occasional social media use
  • Collaborate with team members on photography input for publications, exhibitions, events, public relations, and social media outputs
Key Requirements:
  • Education: Level 6 degree or professional equivalent in photography
  • Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop for image editing and manipulation
  • Experience in copy work and studio settings, including lighting
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Valid driving license and reliable transportation
