The role of a Quality Control Microbiologist is to perform in-process, water, and finished product quality control microbiology testing in the laboratory. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology and at least three years of relevant experience in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) pharmaceutical setting.

Key Responsibilities:


">
  • Perform in-process, water, and finished product quality control microbiology testing.
  • Manage environmental monitoring programs.
  • Investigate microbiology issues with support from the Quality Control Lead and Group Microbiologist.
  • Conduct analytical validation of microbiological methods.
  • Train Quality Control Chemists in appropriate microbiology test methods and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology.
  • At least three years of relevant experience in a GMP pharmaceutical setting.
  • Expertise in analytical techniques such as Total Viable Count, Endotoxin Testing, and Coliform Testing.
  • Familiarity with Contamination Control Strategy for API manufacturing plants with low bioburden/endotoxin limits.
  • Cleanroom design and operation knowledge.
  • LIMS experience advantageous.
