Key Roles and Responsibilities
">As a Sr. Engineer, Advanced Operations, you will be responsible for creating a work practice and environment that pushes the boundaries of conventional manufacturing & metrology.
">The role success will be gauged by your contribution in coaching the engineering team to effectively meet and/or exceed new product metrics including product cost, process performance and time to market.
">You will determine the technical objectives of engineering assignments and make decisions regarding the direction and the results of the assignment.
">Your key responsibilities include monitoring and controlling progress of work ensuring sound application of engineering principles and the appropriate use of policies and procedures.
">You will lead capital acquisition activity from specifying equipment, contract negotiation, installation and validation.
">You will analyze equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental test and result analysis.
">You may lead or act as independent reviewer in process review meetings.
">You will coach and mentor others on functionally related topics.
">You will provide ongoing status reports including periodic reviews progress and evaluation of results to management.
">You will provide engineering support for new product and process introductions, ensuring that all activities are completed and documented in accordance with the new product development procedures.
">You will ensure quality of process and product as defined in the operation and material specifications.
">You will select components and equipment based on analysis of specifications, reliability and regulatory requirements.
">You will work with quality engineers to develop component specific testing and inspection protocols.
">You will participate in PFMEA, Control Plan, SOE/MAP and PPAP generation associated with product transfers and launches.
">You will ensure adherence to GMP and safety procedures.
">Preferred Qualifications/Work Experience
">We are looking for an individual with 4 or more years' experience in a similar field.
">A proven track record of working in a team-based environment is essential.
">You should have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to express ideas and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
">An open-minded attitude with the ability to recognize good ideas is required.
">Innovative thinking skills, including the ability to envision new and better ways of doing things, are highly valued.
">You should have experience executing complex problem-solving techniques related to manufacturing/design technical issues.
">Good instincts and sound judgment for mechanical and structural design are essential.
">A good understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DFM), related statistical tools and validation/verification techniques is required.
">Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to plan, organize and implement concurrent tasks, are necessary.
">A good knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, product and process design is essential.
">You should be able to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and understand geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing.
">Familiarity with validation activities is required.
">Experience in an FDA regulated or regulated industry is beneficial.
">Excellent attention to detail is necessary.
">This role includes 20% travel.
