Supply Chain Customs and Compliance Manager

The Supply Chain Customs and Compliance Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless flow of goods while maintaining compliance with customs regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and manage the customs and trade function to ensure optimal supply chain performance.
  • Oversee relationships with customs brokers and regulatory bodies to facilitate efficient trade operations.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant customs codes and trade agreements to minimize risks.
  • Stay updated on legislative and regulatory changes to adapt to evolving market conditions.
  • Coordinate with customs brokers and internal teams to resolve compliance issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records for audits and regulatory reporting to ensure transparency.
  • Support the company's Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) status by implementing best practices.
  • Lead master data governance across product, supplier, and trade fields to enhance data quality.
  • Develop internal controls and validation checks to maintain data accuracy.
  • Drive SKU rationalization efforts to optimize inventory levels and reduce waste.
  • Partner with various departments to evaluate and remove obsolete SKUs to improve supply chain efficiency.
  • Ensure supply chain readiness for new product introductions and discontinuations to minimize disruptions.
  • Develop dashboards and reports covering customs performance and trade risk exposure to inform strategic decisions.
Requirements:
  • Certification in customs compliance or international trade is highly desirable.
  • Professional accreditation in supply chain or operations is essential for this role.
  • Ambitious individual with a desire to grow into broader supply chain leadership roles.
  • Strong work ethic and a solutions-oriented mindset are necessary for success in this position.
  • Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills are required to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
