Job Role

The Distribution Specialist plays a pivotal role in the Supply Chain Department, overseeing Receiving, sampling, picking, and shipping. This full-time position involves managing inventory levels to ensure accurate stock.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inventory Management:
    • Conduct regular cycle counts of pharmaceutical inventory to maintain accurate stock levels.
    • Verify and reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
    • Report inventory variances promptly and recommend corrective actions.
  • Receipt and Inspection:
    • Accurately receive, inspect, and record incoming raw materials and components, ensuring all documentation matches physical deliveries.
    • Verify quantities, check for damage, and ensure proper storage conditions for both +20 and +5 products.
  • Material Sampling and Preparation:
    • Perform sampling of incoming materials in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality guidelines.
    • Maintain strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Picking and Staging:
    • Accurately pick and prepare materials for packaging and manufacturing lines based on production orders.
    • Ensure precise measurement, labeling, and staging of materials, including both +20 and +5 products.
  • Equipment Operation and System Use:
    • Operate handheld scanners, forklifts, or other warehouse equipment as needed for Warehouse operations.
    • Utilise warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP software for data tracking and reporting.
  • Safety and Cleanliness:
    • Adhere to safety guidelines to minimize risks in handling pharmaceutical products.
    • Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the counting area to prevent contamination.
  • Data Entry and Documentation:
    • Update inventory data in the warehouse management system (WMS) or enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
    • Maintain accurate records of cycle counts, adjustments, and investigations.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) during inventory activities.
