Clinical Nurse Manager 2 - Intellectual Disabilities Residential Service

Our organization is seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager 2 to oversee the care and support of children and young adults with intellectual disabilities in residential settings.

This full-time permanent role involves managing two residential services, each supporting children and young adults with varying levels of intellectual disabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing nursing policies and procedures that meet the needs of the service and those we support.

The ideal candidate will lead by example, promoting a culture of excellence and fostering a positive work environment. They will also provide coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with HIQA regulations, standards, and relevant legislation, as well as developing and maintaining effective relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and external partners.

  • We are looking for a candidate with a QQI Level 7 BA in Applied Social Studies, Social Care or equivalent, or an RNID/RGN/RCN qualification along with NMBI registration.
  • A management qualification in Health/Social Care or being in the process of obtaining this qualification is highly desirable.
  • At least three years' supervisory or management experience is required, along with strong communication, leadership, and influencing skills.
  • The ability to make sound judgments and decisions based on current legislation, best practice, and individual circumstances is essential.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary to assess situations and act appropriately.
