Job Title: Fixed Asset Accountant

">Job Description

The position of Fixed Asset Accountant involves managing the general ledger accounting for fixed assets across international entities, ensuring balance sheet reconciliations are accurate and up-to-date. Additionally, the accountant will be responsible for recording and managing fixed asset data, as well as coordinating periodic physical inventory counts of fixed assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day Fixed Asset Accounting activities for International entities.
  • Check completeness and accuracy of fixed asset subledger and month-end closing activities.
  • Prepare account reconciliations, journal entries, and adjustments to ensure financial records are in compliance with US GAAP.
  • Monitor a system of controls, policies, and procedures for the recording of fixed assets.
  • Identify items for disposal during periodic physical inventory counts.
  • Initiate periodic impairment reviews for intangible assets and investigate the potential obsolescence of fixed assets.
  • Ensure consistency in internal controls and uphold company policies & procedures.
  • Build relationships with key contacts in Corporate Accounting, GBS, and global entities.
  • Support Internal and External Audits, including SOX requirements and testing.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Good working knowledge of Oracle or similar integrated software products.
  • Exposure to and in-depth knowledge of US GAAP Accounting policies.
  • Proficiency in managing and analyzing large data sets.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced target driven environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required.
  • Accurate and methodical approach.

Education and/or Experience
  • Degree in accounting or equivalent preferred and 2-4 years of relevant experience.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
