Job Title: Engineering Apprentice

We are seeking a talented individual to join our team as an Engineering Apprentice, where you will be trained to maintain, diagnose, and repair Caterpillar equipment.

This apprenticeship program provides a unique blend of hands-on experience, theoretical knowledge, and professional development opportunities, setting you up for success in your engineering career.

You will be part of a dynamic team, working alongside experienced engineers to ensure the highest standards of quality and performance.

Throughout your journey, you will gain valuable skills and insights into the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of heavy machinery and equipment.

Upon completion of the apprenticeship, you will be equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to pursue a rewarding career in the engineering sector.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in on-the-job training and off-site education at Finning's Training Academy.
  • Develop skills in maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing Caterpillar equipment.
  • Learn to analyze and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve common goals and objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths grades A-C or the numbered equivalent (9-4).
  • A valid driving license with at least one year of driving experience.
  • Meet the educational requirements set forth by the apprenticeship standard.
  • Be at least 16 years old and eligible to work in the UK.
