Senior Design Expert

We are seeking an exceptional technical lead to spearhead our architectural team in delivering cutting-edge solutions for life sciences facilities. This role requires a seasoned professional with expertise in leading conceptual design efforts, interpreting building programs, and generating varied design concepts.
The successful candidate will have 10+ years of architectural design experience in the designated specialty, preferably as a Lab Architect or Process Architect. A Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) Degree from an accredited University or College, along with registered architect (RA) and AIA/NAAB/NCARB membership/accreditation, is highly preferred.
This position demands excellent time management skills, enabling the individual to work on multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality results. Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) and building information modeling (BIM) software, particularly Revit, is essential.
The ideal candidate will possess holistic facility design skills, encompassing exterior façade design, interior layout development, and a deep understanding of how architectural design integrates with process, mechanical, structural, civil, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection system design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement innovative design solutions that meet client needs and industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior designers, promoting skill development and career growth.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to maintain expertise and inform design decisions.
- Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure clear expectations and successful project outcomes.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 10+ years of architectural design experience in the designated specialty.
- Advanced degree in architecture or related field (Master's or Ph.D.).
- Registered architect (RA) and AIA/NAAB/NCARB membership/accreditation.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to interpret complex building programs and generate varied design concepts.
- Proficiency in CAD and BIM software, particularly Revit.
- Holistic facility design skills, including exterior façade design and interior layout development.
