Job Title: Occupational Therapist Leader

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join a dynamic team in Longford and contribute to the provision of high-quality, community-based services.

The role focuses on promoting recovery, enhancing occupational performance, and supporting individuals to live independently and meaningfully in their communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse caseload of adults with varying mental health presentations and develop effective care plans
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify functional needs and inform treatment strategies
  • Design and deliver individualized interventions focused on improving daily living skills and community participation
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop recovery-focused care plans tailored to each service user
  • Supervise and support the professional development of junior Occupational Therapists or students as required
  • Maintain accurate, high-quality clinical documentation in line with occupational therapy best practice
  • Contribute to service improvement initiatives and promote mental health awareness within the wider community

Essential Requirements:

  • BSc or MSc in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent qualification recognized by CORU)
  • CORU Registration (essential)
  • Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience, with at least 1 year in adult mental health
  • Experience delivering occupational therapy in the community setting
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team, managing a diverse caseload
