Job Profile

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a unique collaboration of voluntary organisations from both sides of the border, delivering a comprehensive mental health service that focuses on underserved communities. The Community Development Coordinator will play a crucial role in promoting positive mental wellbeing, increasing resilience, and preventing the deterioration of existing mental and emotional distress in people, families, and communities.

Main Responsibilities

- Develop and implement a comprehensive mental health service that focuses on underserved communities.
- Provide supervision, guidance, and support to 2 case workers, ensuring they adhere to best practices and organisational policies.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and support professional development for team members.
- Coordinate team meetings and facilitate communication between case workers.
- Represent the organisation in the programme and assist with marketing and promotion activities.
- Develop and deliver training sessions for staff, focusing on best practices, trauma-informed care, and mental health recovery programs.

Requirements

- A 3rd level qualification in Mental Health or Social Studies is required, along with at least 3 years of experience working in a Mental Health or Community Development role.
- Proven experience in supervising staff, providing leadership, and managing projects is essential.
- Experience in designing and delivering group programmes, including Solution-Focussed Interventions and Wellness Recovery Action Plans (WRAP), is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for building strong relationships with colleagues, clients, and community partners.
- A Full Clean Driving Licence is also required.
