Job Title: Education and Outreach Officer (Maternity Cover)

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic professional to join our team as an Education and Outreach Officer (Maternity Cover). The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of education programmes for students in secondary schools. This is a specific purpose contract covering maternity leave of the current postholder.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Develop and deliver high-quality education programmes that promote equality, diversity, and inclusion in STEM fields.
2. Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement workshops, training, and knowledge exchange on key areas around gender balance and equality.
3. Provide advice, guidance, and support on EDI issues and develop a Gender Equality Plan that assesses research community needs and promotes research community cohesions.
4. Conduct research, engage in scholarship of quality and substance, and generate publications of an international standard pertaining to equality, diversity, and inclusion.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Honours degree in a relevant discipline
- Excellent project management skills
- Excellent analytical and report writing skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively in national multi-partner collaborative projects
- Full driving licence
- Desirable additional qualifications with relevance to the role (e.g. MSc / PhD)

Benefits:
This post offers a competitive salary range of €46,305 - €50,168 commensurate with experience and qualifications, and is based in Munster Technological University Kerry Campus.
