Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled plumber to carry out inspections and quality assurance checks on energy upgrade works in domestic retrofit projects.

As a Field-Based Retrofit Quality Inspector, you will conduct post-installation inspections, perform quality assurance checks, offer advice to homeowners and contractors, and manage appointments with homeowners.

  • Conduct thorough inspections of energy upgrade works to ensure high standards and compliance with relevant quality specifications.
  • Perform regular quality assurance checks to ensure that energy retrofit works meet the required standards and codes of practice.
  • Offer expert advice to homeowners, contractors, and internal teams regarding energy upgrades and scheme compliance.
  • Manage appointments with homeowners, visiting them Monday to Friday, typically between 9am–5pm.
  • Collaborate with the scheduling team to coordinate visits and administrative tasks.
  • Participate in regular training and contribute to continuous improvement in quality delivery.
Working Conditions

Inspectors work within their local region (within 2 hours' drive from their home base), occasional travel outside the region may be required. All tools, safety gear, IT equipment, and uniform are provided.

Expect to be away from home on average one day per week. Overnight hotel stays are arranged and covered, including a food allowance.

Requirements
  • FETAC Level 6 qualification in Plumbing is mandatory.
  • A solid knowledge of domestic construction and heating systems is essential.
  • Comfortable working in a field-based, autonomous role.
  • Clear communication skills, especially with homeowners and contractors.
  • Proficient with mobile devices and digital reporting tools.
  • A full driving license is required.
