Retrofit Quality Assurance Opportunity

Our organization is seeking a qualified plumber to fill the role of Retrofit Quality Inspector.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting post-installation inspections on energy upgrade works in residential settings, ensuring compliance with industry standards and codes of practice.

  • Perform quality assurance inspections on energy retrofit works, verifying that all aspects meet established guidelines.
  • Document inspection findings accurately and efficiently, utilizing digital tools or paper-based methods as required.
  • Provide expert advice to homeowners, contractors, and internal teams regarding energy upgrades and scheme compliance, facilitating seamless collaboration and resolution.
  • Manage appointment schedules with homeowners, conducting visits Monday to Friday, typically between 9am–5pm, while ensuring timely completion of inspection duties.
  • Conduct up to 6 inspections per day, contingent upon homeowner availability and geographical factors, demonstrating adaptability and efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with the scheduling team, receiving full administrative support throughout the process.
  • Participate in regular training sessions and contribute actively to ongoing quality improvement initiatives, fostering a culture of excellence within the organization.

Key Requirements:

  • FETAC Level 6 qualification in Plumbing (mandatory).
  • Thorough knowledge of domestic construction and heating systems, enabling informed decision-making.
  • Comfortable working independently in a field-based setting, with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
  • Exceptional communication skills, particularly when interacting with homeowners and contractors, promoting clear understanding and cooperation.
  • Proficiency in using mobile devices and digital reporting tools, enhancing productivity and data accuracy.
  • Valid driving licence, facilitating efficient travel between locations.
