Job Title: Automotive Painting Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Spray Painter to join our team in an Accident Repair Centre. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in automotive spray painting, with a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing vehicles for painting, including sanding, masking, and priming. They will mix and match paint to ensure perfect colour alignment with original factory specifications, apply paint to vehicles using spray guns and other equipment, ensuring even coverage and proper thickness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare vehicles for painting
  • Mix and match paint
  • Apply paint to vehicles
  • Operate heating or drying equipment
  • Perform quality checks
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Keep records of paint usage and supplies

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Spray Painter in an automotive repair setting
  • Strong knowledge of painting equipment, materials, and techniques
  • Experience with water-based paint is essential
  • Able to mix and apply paint in a manner that meets high quality standards
  • Good understanding of colour theory and colour matching
  • Vocational training or certification in auto body painting is preferred but not essential
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
