Key to success as a Porter lies in providing an exceptional customer experience by maintaining a tidy and well-organised environment. You will be responsible for receiving and sorting linen trolley deliveries, ensuring all items are stored in the correct areas with delivery dockets submitted to the office.

The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills, be reliable, friendly and have a can-do attitude. Previous experience in a similar hospitality setting is a bonus but not essential.

Responsibilities
  • Receive and sort linen trolley deliveries, ensuring accurate storage and submission of delivery dockets.
  • Collect handover from the Supervisor or Manager at the start of each shift and complete daily assigned tasks such as delivering cots, beds, and duvets to designated rooms.
  • Clean stayover rooms if assigned and ensure high standards of cleanliness and organisation are maintained throughout the hotel.
  • Conduct regular floor walks to check pantries and trolleys, restock linen, bottled water and amenities where needed.
  • Clear glassware, crockery, and cutlery from storerooms and return them to the kitchen.
  • Strip beds in departure rooms and sort dirty linen appropriately.
  • Cover absent PA attendants and support shift handovers where necessary.
  • Ensure fresh linen is distributed to the correct floors and used linen is left ready for morning collection.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a hotel or similar hospitality setting (desirable)
  • Strong work ethic and a positive attitude towards teamwork
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new situations
