New Zealand Conservation Opportunity

Are you passionate about protecting our planet's most vulnerable ecosystems? We invite you to join our conservation team in New Zealand, where you'll have the opportunity to work alongside local communities and experts to preserve the country's unique biodiversity. Our project focuses on protecting and restoring the cloud-forest of Tutamoe Peak, home to the endangered kiwi bird and the rare giant kauri snail.
As a member of our team, you'll be involved in hands-on conservation work, including creating access trails, protecting native species from invasive rats, possums, and stoats, and monitoring pest numbers. You'll also learn about sustainability and living off-grid, as well as participate in self-discovery through immersion in a remote forest setting.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Leadership skills: lead a team of volunteers; plan activities, coordinate preparation, and safety procedures
- Hands-on experience: participate in hands-on conservation work in different forests, each with unique characteristics
- Physical stamina: hike for long periods, work in varied weather conditions, and perform manual labor
