Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Conservation Agriculture Expert. This role involves collaborating with a farm that has been researching how to achieve autonomous, resilient, chemical-free, regenerative, and profitable agriculture in the Galapagos islands.

The farm is an agro-ecology school and arguably the founder of the first local seed bank (of edible species) in the Galapagos. As a member of our team, you will contribute to the development and implementation of sustainable agricultural practices.

You will work closely with our experienced staff to maintain vegetable seedbeds, assist with seed germination processes, and take care of the seed banks. You will also be involved in constructing apparatuses and designing new permaculture systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in conservation agriculture and a passion for sustainable food systems. A degree in agriculture or a related field is essential.

You should also have excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to adapt to new situations and challenges.
